Almost everyone drinks tea yet they all get gum disease or cavities. Gum disease is caused by deficiency of Vit C and tea does not contain it. None of those attributed to tea were scientifically tested and could be placebo effects. It is said to prevent death. These claims are too fanciful as it had never prevented death which is due to complex causes. Unless we know the actual ingredient in tea, it could be due to the sugar, caffeine or anything. Everyone drinks tea with milk and sugar which will alter it's medical benefit. It is relaxing of course when taken with milk and sugar, but it could be a placebo effect.
Double blind studies indicated to be sure. Sam

Green tea is really good for the health but I think it's better to decaffeinate it to limit caffeine intake. Nice post!
